How the disappearing author writes: the poetry of Morales Monterríos
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study analyzes the recent work of Roberto Morales Monterríos within the framework of contemporary poetry, focusing on two fundamental dimensions: the disappearance of the lyrical subject and the epistemological approach to the poem. Through the examination of books such as Nodo, Seda-Sade, and Carbono 14, a systematic shift is observed from a subjective voice toward an impersonal enunciation that operates as a conceptual device. Likewise, the poem is configured as (or emerges from) a space of inquiry that incorporates logical, philosophical, and scientific structures, such as argumentative sequences, paradoxes, and axiomatic models. In this context, the author’s writing can be situated within a poetics of expanded writing, where the poetic emerges from the exploration of knowledge rather than from individual expression.
