Abstract

This study examines the valency of Mapudüngun verbal roots through morphotactic analysis. By analysing permissible and restricted suffix combinations with roots or verbal stems, the research aims to enhance the morphological analyser Düngupeyüm, integrating verified findings into the system. From the linguistic point of view, it seeks to advance the understanding of valency in Mapuche verb roots.
