Abstract
The Mexican schools for teacher training have included tutoring as an alternative that allows the integral development of the students and to help countera the main causes of falling behind, drop out and low completion rate. However, the teacher’s training for tutoring has not been systematic enough.
Due to this situation, a tutoring competences training program was designed, following the guidelines of the Model for the Development and Evaluation of Academic Competencies (M-DECA) and using the Systematization of Educational Experiences (SEE), as a method to validate the training proposal. The results obtained show evidence of the promotion of significant learning, but they must improve some conditions for the tutors in order for them to achieve an effective transfer of the learnings to their daily practice.
