Abstract

Gender violence that occurs in couple relationships is a social problem and at the level of young people is a topic that has not been studied as much. During 2019, the following study was conducted, which aimed to answer the question What are the characteristics of gender violence in the relationships of young university couples in applied research between 2008 and 2018? For this purpose, ten articles were selected that came from publications indexed in academic databases. From the analysis and review of the results of these articles, it was possible to identify seven comprehensive categories of characteristics: directionality; prevalence; feelings of the victim; impact; forms of exercise; socializing agents and intentionality.
