The Nueva Revista del Pacífico, founded in 1964, is affiliated to the Faculty of Humanities of the Universidad de Playa Ancha de Ciencias de la Educación (Valparaíso, Chile).

The journal has a wide range of topics within the framework of literary and linguistic studies, covering research from various theoretical and methodological perspectives on writers and national and foreign literary works, as well as studies on language in its different representations. In this context, it is open to all researchers, from public or private, Chilean or foreign universities, accepting unpublished works on literature and linguistics written in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Papers associated with national or international research projects will be given special preference.

The Nueva Revista del Pacífico has three sections:

  1. Articles: scientific studies on literature or linguistics that generate knowledge or new perspectives in the field addressed..
  2. Interviews: intellectual dialogues with personalities from the Chilean or foreign cultural world (authors, critics, representatives of cultural institutions, etc.).
  3. Reviews: evaluative and descriptive texts on recent publishing novelties in the field of literature and linguistics.
